Ann-Marie Bland has over 15 years of marketing and communications experience and has managed hundreds of products and services. Although she’s used traditional marketing strategies, the bulk of her work has been relationship marketing/social marketing. She specializes in internet marketing and inbound/outbound strategies including using social media and Web 2.0.
She is currently working with social gaming, social networking and Facebook application start-up companies.
Previously, as CEO and President of social/personality game start-up Cecropia, Ann-Marie oversaw all business aspects and grew the company to 100+ people in two studio locations. Prior to Cecropia she consulted for Blue Fang Games, Chasma and Stainless Steel Studios.
As Business Unit Director at Hasbro Interactive/Atari, she was responsible for a $100M business unit having overall revenue and profit target accountability. In this position her portfolio included key franchises such as , Monopoly®, Scrabble®, Risk®, Trivial Pursuit®, Rollercoaster Tycoon®, Civilization III®, Deer Hunter, Wheel of Fortune®, Jeopardy!®, and NASCAR®.
Prior to Hasbro Interactive, Ann-Marie ran all public relations for Viaweb (founded by Paul Graham, Y Combinator), a technology company that provided secure online shopping software which sold to Yahoo!. Her career started as Marketing, Public Relations and Manufacturing manager for Papyrus, the PC leader in racing simulations IndyCar® and NASCAR Racing, which to Sierra- On-Line (Vivendi).
Ann-Marie has worked for developers and publishers, small companies and large and has functioned in both consumer goods and B2B companies. She presents herself as a “Marketing Rockstar” for any business with greatest personal passions in branding/positioning and corporate communications (2.0).
